Easy to say it’s the coldest day of the year when it’s 1/3/07. I really mean it’s the coldest day this winter…My exercise schedule is off this week because of the New Year celebrations…hic. Got back into the swing of it today and worked up a good sweat on the exercise bike. Then down to the basement for some weight lifting. I took a break after one particular set and paced the floor while I caught my breath. Still sweaty, dressed in T-shirt and shorts for my work-out I thought I’d see just how cold it was and stepped out back. Ack! It was 20° with a wind-chill of 9°.I used to mountain bike in weather like that! Guess I still could, but it’s not on the top of my list. My road riding/commute riding limit was 28°, but I think I’ll bump that up to 35°. Changing gears now…”They” will toss the old way of watching TV with an antenna on your roof into the trash heap of history. The Go’ment will give me a $40 coupon . I think that is what I’m going to do. I have a 25 year old Mitsubishi TV that works fine. Then I’m going to build my own HDTV antenna, (yes, what’s old is new again!), but I can put it behind my TV and not risk falling off the roof.I expect laughs from friends…20″ TV without high def…but I’ll have a ton more channels and it will hardly cost me squat.Wonder what squat trades for on the NYSE… Bikebreath
